I founded Jilly Bean Sewing with the goal of giving my customers a custom quilt to savor memories of their loved ones! I conduct business according to the same values, knowing that better service equals loyal customers. My store policies are detailed below to help keep good business practices.

CHANGING FEE: For any changes by the client after sewing has begun there will be a $40+ charge per change that will apply to the invoicing of the quilt.  

​

RETURNS/REFUNDS:  Due to the nature of custom products, there are no returns on completed quilts. If the quilt has not been started or there are disagreements between the customer/Jilly Bean Sewing, the items of clothing will be returned to the customer. 

 

SHIPPING COSTS of clothing items back to the client are covered by the Client’s initial deposit.  If there is a mistake by me, then I will offer a discount on the next quilt.

QUILT TIME FRAMES

Most basic custom (10-40) t-shirt quilts take 3-4 weeks to make. 

This process does not include my waiting list. 

*Additional custom features, style changes, delays in receiving supplies and/or communication, it will take 2-3 weeks longer. 

*Christmas or Graduation Season: there could be delays in shipping, sickness (in my family) or natural disasters that could delay the time frame of your quilt.

ORDER RUSH FEE: Need a quilt in a short amount of time?!  I can finish the quilt within a month for a rush of an extra $100 (Small and Large Throw), $150 (Twin and Full Size) or $200 (Queen and King Size)

DEPOSIT: This is NOT included in the overall price of the custom quilt. The deposit is a non-refundable payment made at the beginning of services to hold clients' spot in queue, consultation and cover preliminary costs. Deposit will also hold the pricing for the client for 6 months, or till June or December of that year after it has been received. After 6 months (specified date) new pricing will be applied.

UNFINISHED QUILTS: If unfinished quilt or clothing items have been in my possession for 12 months, the items/quilt will be shipped back to the customer (shipping will be paid by me).  When the customer is ready to start their quilt process again, the items can be shipped back to me (shipping to me will be paid by customer). Jilly Bean Sewing has the right to decline service if procedures and policies are not being followed and the clothing will be returned.

MULTIPLE QUILTS

Your first quilt deposit does not hold the space for additional quilts. Deposit, consultation, sewing and finishing of the 1st quilt must be completed before I accept the deposit or plan for any additional quilts. Additional quilts deposit will be accepted after completion of the first quilt.  There is a 10% discount for clients who have purchased more than 2+ quilts.

COMMUNICATION

When communicating, EMAIL is the best method for changes and confirmations. Text and phone conversations are used for updates, short quick messages and conversations.  If you have changes in your custom made quilts, sending via email is the best form.

PRICING CHANGES as of 6.1.2024

Pricing includes consultation, preparing, designing, batting, plain backing fabric, sewing labor, quilting and supplies.  Price does not include deposit and custom back fabric. These prices are effective on any quilts made after 6.1.2024
