WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

There are not returns on custom made items (all my products) due to the nature of the quilts.  I do offer discounts on the next quilt if there are issues.

WHAT DOES THE PRICE INCLUDE?

Price includes consultation, preparing, designing, batting, plain backing fabric, sewing labor, quilting and supplies. Please note this policy is for MOST of the quilts.  The Quilted Throw, this does not apply too, please see the Etsy listing for further details.  I try to give the best price with the quality products while balancing out supply and demand needs of the market.

WHAT DOES THE PRICE NOT INCLUDE? Deposit and custom back fabric

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO MAKE A QUILT?

Most custom basic 10-25 t-shirt quilts take 3-4 weeks to make.  If there are any additional custom features, style changes, delays in receiving supplies and/or communication, it will take 2-3 weeks longer.  If there changes after the process has started and delay in time, a $20-30 fee is applicable, please see below for my information about the changing fee. NOTE: This process does not include my waiting list.  If I am 3-4 months out, you must add 12-16 weeks to the making of your quilt.  If I am 5-6 months out, you must add 20-24 weeks to the making of your quilt. And so forth.

WHAT HAPPENS AT A CONSULTATION AND HOW LONG?

The quilt consultation happens after the quilt deposit is made.  Usually within a month and scheduled via Google Meet or in-person.  During the quilt consultation we will discuss t-shirt/items, inventory, pricing, fabric choices, style design, borders/sashings and other custom features.  We will decide on fabric choices and design. Consultation usually takes 30-45 minutes.  This can be done in person (local customers) or via Google Meet.  After consultation a CONFIRMATION email will be sent 1-2 weeks later to confirm the choices picked by client. NOTE: If fabric choices have not accomplished during consultation, a confirmation email will not be sent until that has been accomplished.

WHAT ARE YOUR SHIPPING COSTS?

Shipping shirts/clothing items to me are covered by the client and range from $10-$40, depending on the weight and bulkiness of clothing.  Suggestion: Please use a vacuum bag or roll your shirts for easier packaging.  Shipping the finished quilt costs are covered by me (the seller)

WHAT DOES THE NON-REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT COVER?

The deposit covers spot on wait list, shipping of finished quilt, purchasing of fabric supplies, and ordering of custom fabrics. Unfortunately the deposit is non-refundable after 24 hours from purchase.  If you have made a mistake purchasing via Etsy, deposit can be return within 24 hours of purchase.  The deposit is NOT included in the overall price of the quilt.

DO CLIENTS GET TO PICK THE FABRICS? AND PURCHASE FABRIC?

Yes, clients can pick the backing and border fabrics during the consultation.  There are several choices of plain (blue, black, tan or brown) or custom fabrics.  During the consultation this selection will be made and will be purchased by me at a local fabric store or online.  It is best that I purchase the fabric to save on time, best prices, quality and quantity.  If you would like to purchase the fabric, keep in mind this can delay the time frame.

CAN I CUT THE T-SHIRTS BEFORE I GIVE THEM TO YOU? SHOULD I WASH THE CLOTHING ITEMS?

Please do not cut the t-shirts.  If you absolutely have to trim the t-shirts for lighter shipping weight, please cut the entire front or back from each other and cut off the sleeves.  Washing of t-shirts/clothing items is required.

WHAT IF I WANT TO MAKE CHANGES?

It is ok to have changes but if it is after the contract is signed then there will be a $20-$30 charge that will be applied to the invoice.  Please understand that changes delay the completion of the quilt, take extra time out of my scheduling and costs.  It is ok to have changes as long as you are prepared for the extra charge.

WHAT IF I WANT MORE THAN ONE QUILT TO BE MADE?

This is very doable!  For multiple quilts, your first quilt deposit does hold the space for your others quilts.  BUT, we do the first quilt all the way through before starting on multiple quilts. Deposit, consultation, sewing and finishing of the quilt must be completed before I take the deposit for the next quilt.  Your next few quilts will still be on my list and each deposit will be taken as each quilt is completed.

WHAT IS THE BEST FORM OF COMMUNICATION?

Email is the best form of communication for changes, questions, concerns and inquiries.  When emailing please use the SAME email thread to keep things easy to find.  Text/calling is only used when I am posting updates and need to get a hold of you quickly.  Please note: Changes and questions via Text may be missed.
